Genesis 1:26-27 "Image"

GENESIS 1:26-27 (CORRECT INTERPRETATION)

Before we start discussing above, first ponder over the Quran (Furqan: The Criterion {To judge previous scriptures})

First Compare the following Green highlighted words in the Quran translation with the Yellow highlighted in the Bible:

QURAN Surah 112. The Unity, Sincerity, Oneness Of Allah

1. Say: He is Allah, the One and Only;
2. Allah, the Eternal, Absolute;
3. He begetteth not, nor is He begotten;
4. And there is none like unto Him.

Bible
The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; the Lord our God is one Lord.” (Mark 12:29)

There is no likeness of ALLAH (GOD) and the same is mentioned in the Bible as follows:

2nd Commandment in the Bible
Thou shalt not make thee any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the waters beneath the earth

"This is one of the very ambigiuous things. At a very primitive level of understanding one might say God looks like you and me but I can say it’s a very very primitive level of understanding and a more abstract level one would say each one of us as human being is endowed with the spirit and this is what is all meant by the image of God." (Courtesy Dr. Jerald Dirks Doctor of Divinity).

Even again if we take the translation which Bible translators did. The interpretations should be as follows in the right context!!! :

Genesis 1:26 God created man in his own (i.e. Man's image not of fish or dog or creep) image. God is telling that Man's creation was not like Monkey creation but Man's image or blueprint already decided was then created.

Genesis 1:27 ALLAH (GOD) created mankind (in an) image, in an image ALLAH (GOD) created male and a female (Note female origin is Naqab (Veil or Burqa in bible) he created.

Now read the following Creation of Man mentioned in the Quran (The Last Testament):

Quran
15:26. We (Royal use) created man from sounding clay, from mud molded into shape;
15:28. Behold! thy Lord said to the angels: "I am about to create man, from sounding clay from mud moulded into shape;
15:29. "When I have fashioned him (in due proportion) and breathed into him of My spirit, fall ye down in obeisance unto him."

We can further analyse the Genesis 1:26 verse (in the above table lexicons):

Look carefully Allah created Man in an image/shape which is mentioned above without ambiguity.

We and Our is a Royal use by ALLAH.

Christians become lost when they translate ALLAH to God and start mixing three personalities into one. Although we muslims are sympathetic with the innocent Christian majority who base their belief on church fraudulent interpretation.  The blunder happens because christians don't have the approach to understand who is the creator of the heavens and the earth which is due to the church led brainwash since their childhood.

“Make man an image” is note worthy above. It doesn’t say in our image. Its only Christians priests dark souls which led to the corruption of the minds of millions of innocent Christians.

Further it says “an image/shape the likeness (in such a way) to have dominion rule (other creations): fish (in) sea, flying creatures in sky, animal/cattle (in) the whole earth and on all creeping things.”

The simple concept of Genesis 1:26 is not meant for plurality in three personalities in anyway no matter how many gymnastics priests can do.

Now even if we for the sake of argument continue reading as the Christian priests allegedly tries to impose wrong translations then it essence is as follows:

Genesis 1:26 Then ALLAH (God) said, “Let us (ALLAH) (Royal use) make mankind in our image (This "our" is metaphorical speech [Genesis Jewish bible Jesus always went to synagogue and never opened/ inaugurated his own church. Roman Catholic Church existed since long before the birth of Jesus. Jesus followed the law. you can better conclusively ask any Rabbi what it means ask him if it means Jesus inclusive of course NO its metaphorical as ALLAH rules everything in the heavens and the earth answer comes here ALLAH granted to human beings this power to rule over certain things as ALLAH says "so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals,[a] and over all the creatures that move along the ground.” Only" –Note: criteria of Man's rule is set), this is what actually meant by ‘in our likeness’’, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals,[a] and over all the creatures that move along the ground.” Genesis 1 is talking about Allah's creation.

http://www.thedeenshow.com/show.php?action=detail&id=1749

God gave some of his attributes to men e.g. God is love (Al Wudood) Quran 11:90. "But ask forgiveness of your Lord, and turn unto Him (in repentance): For my Lord is indeed full of mercy and loving-kindness."
 52:23. They shall there exchange, one with another, a (loving) cup free of frivolity, free of all taint of ill.
 58:22. Thou wilt not find any people who believe in Allah and the Last Day, loving those who resist Allah and His Messenger, even though they were their fathers or their sons, or their brothers, or their kindred. For such He has written Faith in their hearts, and strengthened them with a spirit from Himself. And He will admit them to Gardens beneath which Rivers flow, to dwell therein (for ever). Allah will be well pleased with them, and they with Him. They are the Party of Allah. Truly it is the Party of Allah that will achieve Felicity.
85:14. And He is the Oft-Forgiving, Full of Loving-Kindness,

Further analysed:

Trinitarian Christians allegedly maintain that Genesis 1:26 and Genesis 11:7 are proof texts of an alleged tri-unity god, but this claim is erroneous. The inference that "Let us make man in our image" (Genesis 1:26) refers to the plurality of God is refuted by the subsequent verse, which relates the creation of man to a singular God, "And God created man in His image" (Genesis 1:27). In this verse the Hebrew verb "created" appears in the singular form. If "let us make man" indicates a numerical plurality, it would be followed in the next verse by, "And they created man in their image." Obviously, the plural form is used in the same way as in the divine appellation 'Elohim, to indicate the all-inclusiveness of God's attributes of authority and power, the plurality of majesty. It is customary for one in authority to speak of himself as if he were a plurality. Hence, Absalom said to Ahithophel, "Give your counsel what we shall do" (2 Samuel 16:20). The context shows that he was seeking advice for himself' yet he refers to himself as "we" (see also Ezra 4:16-19).
NOTE: IDOL (Jesus) worship is prohibited in the bible
Old Testament condemns idol worship
Old Testament condemns idol worship in the following verses:
"Thou shalt have no other gods before me."
"Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:"
"Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God."
[The Bible, Exodus 20:3-5]

A similar message is repeated in the book of Deuteronomy:
"Thou shalt have none other gods before me."
"Thou shalt not make thee any graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that in the earth beneath, or that is in the water beneath the earth."
"Thou shalt not bow down thyself unto them, nor serve them; for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God."
[The Bible, Deuteronomy 5:7-9]

It is clear that the image and likeness that are mentioned in Genesis 1:26-27 are nothing but metaphoric speech!

Let us now look at what Jesus said about himself that will give the ultimate knockout to the trinity lie regarding the "Us" and "Image" and "Likeness" in Genesis 1:26-27:
The Bible's New Testament records Jesus saying: ""Why do you call me good?" Jesus answered. "No one is good–except God alone." (From the NIV Bible, Mark 10:18)"

If Jesus doesn't consider himself as "good", then how can any sane person put him on the same level as GOD Almighty?
I have yet to see a good answer to this one by any polytheist trinitarian.

Also, another important point to notice in Mark 10:18 is the word "alone": ""Why do you call me good?" Jesus answered. "No one is good–except God alone." (From the NIV Bible, Mark 10:18)"
Jesus in this verse is clearly giving exclusivity to GOD Almighty when he said "alone". If Jesus was truly part of GOD Almighty and/or the trinity lie was true, then Jesus, to say the least, would not have said that.

Also Genesis 1:26 is one of the very ambigiuous verse. At a very primitive level of understanding one might say God looks like you and me but I can say it’s a very very primitive level of understanding and a more abstract level one would say each one of us as human being is endowed with the spirit and this is what is all meant by the image of God.

ETYMOLOGICAL ANALYSIS
Now I expect that Christian brain is open enough to discuss and absorb the real interpretation of Genesis 1:26.

Directly go to 6:24 minutes of this video for full context of John 10:25-30

John 10:30 is often used as proof that Jesus is God because Jesus said, “I and the father are one.” But, if you read the next six verses, you will find Jesus explaining that his enemies were wrong to think that he was claiming to be God. What Jesus obviously means here is that he is one with the Father in purpose. Jesus also prayed that his disciples should be one just as Jesus and the Father are one. Obviously, he was not praying that all his disciples should somehow merge into one individual (see John 17:11 and 22). And when Luke reports that the disciples were all one, Luke does not mean that they became one single human being, but that they shared a common purpose although they were separate beings (see Acts 4:32). In terms of essence, Jesus and the Father are two, for Jesus said they are two witnesses (John 8:14-18). They have to be two, since one is greater than the other (see John 14:28).

John 5:37 Jesus said “Father himself has sent me has bourne witness of me you have neither heard his voice nor seen his face at any time”. And at that time Jesus was standing right there amongst them. Had he been God why would have said that you have not seen God at any time.

I and my father are one. (One in purpose i.e. same exact mission as coming as bearer of God’s message to humanity) not physically.
Father is in me I in you (12 diciples) does this means 1+1+12 = 14 Gods

"God came down and incarnated in a human body" is a very old pagan concept  Hindu gods came in human body incarnate avatar remember. You make one or you make millions incarnation you are simply attaching yourself to pagan theories and following a mere hindu (Idolator) pagan theory.

This is 4 line definition of who Allah (God) is:

Surah 112. The Unity, Sincerity, Oneness Of Allah
1. Say: He is Allah, the One and Only;
2. Allah, the Eternal, Absolute;
3. He begetteth not, nor is He begotten;
4. And there is none like unto Him.

Qur'an 7:172 “When thy Lord drew forth from the Children of Adam - from their loins - their descendants, and made them testify concerning themselves, (saying): "Am I not your Lord (who cherishes and sustains you)?"- They said: "Yea! We do testify!" (This), lest ye should say on the Day of Judgment: "Of this we were never mindful"

Therefore none from the children of Adam is going to run away from the oath they had already taken. Children of Adam's hearts have the ability to recognise the Truth.

Solomon is said to have been with God at the beginning of time before all of creation, Proverbs 8:22-3
Do not be confused with this because time is a creation of Allah, Time is relative (Relativity of time -Newton) On earth we measure time/ count days and night according to the movement of the Sun and the Moon. Before time began all lion of Adam testified concerning themselves before God Allmighty already.

Seeketh the truth and truth shall set you free. (John 8:32)

Everyone would have to answer what they have done in this world on the day of judgement. This life is merely a test for the hereafter everyone has been given the chance. Allah already knows who is going to heaven and who is going to hell. The chance people could say that if we had been given the chance we would definitely have worshipped only One ALLAH instead of idols or 3 in 1 or 1 in 3 gods that chance has already been given O children of Adam just check ALLAH told it already in the QURAN 7:172 . Your forefathers are responsible for their own decisions and you are for your own decisions.

“…No person earns any (sin) except against himself (only), and no bearer of burdens shall bear the burden of another…” (Quran 6:164)

“The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, neither shall the children be put to death for the fathers: every man shall be put to death for his own sin.” (Deuteronomy 24:16)

None can reject that in these two verses, the first from the Quran and the second from the Bible, is an allusion to the same meaning: that the Just God will never punish people for the sins of others.
No intercession will be accepted unless granted by ALLAH.

Another important point in the Quran verse 7:172 is that Isa (Jesus) Son of Maryam PBUH was not from the loin of Adam (PBUH). All other mankind is from the lion of Adam (PBUH). Jesus did not exist 2046 years ago and was infact born by the order of Allah by Allah's word saying "Kun Fayakun" (Be and he was) at the point of  zero BC so to say i.e. 2046 years ago (2013+33 years life period of Jesus son of Mary PBUH already spent). The similarity of Jesus with Adam (PBUT) is mentioned in the Glorious Quran as follows which is also a literaray miracle of the Glorious Quran:

Quran Surah Al Imran 3:59. The similitude of Jesus before Allah is as that of Adam; He created him from dust, then said to him: "Be". And he was.
60. The Truth (comes) from Allah alone; so be not of those who doubt.
61. If any one disputes in this matter with thee, now after (full) knowledge Hath come to thee, say: "Come! let us gather together,- our sons and your sons, our women and your women, ourselves and yourselves: Then let us earnestly pray, and invoke the curse of Allah on those who lie!"
62. This is the true account: There is no god except Allah. and Allah.He is indeed the Exalted in Power, the Wise.
63. But if they turn back, Allah hath full knowledge of those who do mischief.
64. Say: "O People of the Book! come to common terms as between us and you: That we worship none but Allah. that we associate no partners with him; that we erect not, from among ourselves, Lords and patrons other than Allah." If then they turn back, say ye: "Bear witness that we (at least) are Muslims (bowing to Allah.s Will).
65. Ye People of the Book! Why dispute ye about Abraham, when the Law and the Gospel Were not revealed Till after him? Have ye no understanding?
66. Ah! Ye are those who fell to disputing (Even) in matters of which ye had some knowledge! but why dispute ye in matters of which ye have no knowledge? It is Allah Who knows, and ye who know not!
67. Abraham was not a Jew nor yet a Christian; but he was true in Faith, and bowed his will to Allah.s (Which is Islam), and he joined not gods with Allah.
68. Without doubt, among men, the nearest of kin to Abraham, are those who follow him, as are also this Messenger and those who believe: And Allah is the Protector of those who have faith.
69. It is the wish of a section of the People of the Book to lead you astray. But they shall lead astray (Not you), but themselves, and they do not perceive!
70. Ye People of the Book! Why reject ye the Signs of Allah, of which ye are (Yourselves) witnesses?
71. Ye People of the Book! Why do ye clothe Truth with falsehood, and conceal the Truth, while ye have knowledge?
72. A section of the People of the Book say: "Believe in the morning what is revealed to the believers, but reject it at the end of the day; perchance they may (themselves) Turn back;
73. "And believe no one unless he follows your religion." Say: "True guidance is the Guidance of Allah. (Fear ye) Lest a revelation be sent to someone (else) Like unto that which was sent unto you? or that those (Receiving such revelation) should engage you in argument before your Lord?" Say: "All bounties are in the hand of Allah. He granteth them to whom He pleaseth: And Allah careth for all, and He knoweth all things."

74. For His Mercy He specially chooseth whom He pleaseth; for Allah is the Lord of bounties unbounded.

(Note : There is another miracle of the Quran. When Quran says Jesus is similar to Adam its for basic understanding but yet its a mathematical miracle that Adam and Jesus (PBUT) BOTH are mentioned exactly 25 times in the Quran which was revealed at different events and occasions over a period of 23 years.)

Quran 2:255. Allah. There is no god but He,-the Living, the Self-subsisting, Eternal. No slumber can seize Him nor sleep. His are all things in the heavens and on earth. Who is there can intercede in His presence except as He permitteth? He knoweth what (appeareth to His creatures as) before or after or behind them. Nor shall they compass aught of His knowledge except as He willeth. His Throne doth extend over the heavens and the earth, and He feeleth no fatigue in guarding and preserving them for He is the Most High, the Supreme (in glory).

Islam is totally against Racism
Prophet Muhammad's (PBUH) in his Last Sermon said (Excerpt) :

" ...... All mankind is from Adam and Eve, an Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab nor a non-Arab has any superiority over an Arab; also a white has no superiority over a black nor a black has any superiority over white except by piety and good action. ...."

On Children (Khalil Gibran) "excerpt"
"Your children are not your children.
They are the sons and daughters of Life’s longing for itself.
They come through you but not from you,
And though they are with you yet they belong not to you.
You may give them your love but not your thoughts,
For they have their own thoughts.
You may house their bodies but not their souls,
For their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow,
which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams."
